Marijuana Earth Box Growing

Since the 70's there has been numerous advancements in growing techniques such as advance organics, hydroponics and aeroponics, etc. With these advancements has come specialized know how in these different techniques. Some of these techniques can be very difficult for a beginner or novice grower.

The good news is that these advancements have also brought easier grow techniques with less maintenance producing the same potent yield. In this article I will be introducing an easy method of growing, the Earth Box growing. Earth Box growing provides a beginner friendly solution for those who want to do it the natural and organic way.

What is an Earth Box you say, well to give you the dynamics it's a rectangular trough box measuring 29 inches long by 15 inches wide and 11 inches tall. It can hold up to 2 cubic feet of soil and has room for a decent number of plants. It has a self watering system, it's designed so that you can't over water your plants and the only way to underwater them is to let the water reservoir run dry.

The plants will absorb only what they need when they need it, no more no less. The water is stored under a perforated, inch-thick plastic layer separating it from the soil. The plastic cover drastically reduces water evaporation and also returns condensed water vapors back into the soil. The plastic also inhibits the growth of mold that causes disease and the invasion of plant destroying pests.

There are many types of Earth Box setups, you can do one large plant that can grow up to six feet when in flowering or you can choose to do a number of smaller ones per box. The optimal number of plants would be three plants per box at about one foot each, this is a good ratio so that you don't run into too many problems such as their root systems overlapping.

There is one very important thing you want to remember, the root structure is the heart and soul of your plants so you want your roots to be big and healthy so your plants can thrive. The roots require the same amounts of air and water so you will still want to add and airy mixer into your grow medium. In the Earth Box the roots will grow down to the bottom of the box for the water while at the same time they will use their upper root system to draw in oxygen from the dryer less compact soil at the top of the box.

There are huge advantages to feeding your plants on a biweekly to triweekly basis, depending on the size of your plants, it allows you to not have to worry so much about the plants and lets you have some free time to do as you please, also it cuts back on making trips to your grow house, if your growing elsewhere, making things look less suspicious.

Earth Boxes are very easy to maintain and inexpensive to purchase. They are carried at many nurseries and garden centers since they can be used for different variety of plants. If you ready to start growing your own organic, potent medical marijuana then check out Earth Boxes and be on your way to have the best herb around.
